Additional design for scour, guide banks, and stream bank stability developed using FHWA HEC-18 and HEC-20 guidance.
**This was completed by Waggoner Engineering with Margaret M. Dean acted as the Project Engineer / Project Manager over the design contract.
Scour Analysis I-55 at Rocky Creek Phase I-II Jones County**
Development of hydrologic flow data and a 2-Dimensional Hydraulic model of the Rocky Creek watershed to determine scour parameters (flow depths, velocities, and elevations) at the I-59 bridge crossing. Hydrologic analyses were developed for each watershed to determine flows for the 10, 25, 50, 100 and 500-year events to be modeled using SRH-2D modeling software. Proposed scour depths were determine and existing survey of the channel was used to determine if the structure was scour critical.
